Duties

Great Big Theatre Company holds theatre arts programs for youth whereby the participants wear costumes and costume pieces for shows and presentations.
We need help sewing various animal headbands with ears; as well we appreciate help in repairing and creating new costume pieces for our summer camps approaching.
As well, we are looking for volunteers to help us with administrative jobs that help up to implement year-round classes, workshops and summer camps

Benefits

We have an office space at 187 James St. S., Hamilton, with a sewing machine, supplies, and access to more machines if needed. We supply all kinds of costume materials to be creative with.
As well, we have a computer and phone and various office supplies needed to help with administrative projects.
Help us in creating arts programs that will benefit youth and the community at large.
Refreshments are always available free of charge and you will be treated royally!
Join our company for tea and a fun morning &/or afternoon with friends.

Currently at our 187 James St. office, our hours are Mon & Thurs - 10:00am-6:00pm
We can use the Jamesville Community Centre at 209 MacNab St. N. on Tues, Wed, & Fri - 12:00-6:00pm.
As well, the St. Peter's Community Centre is available to us on a flexible basis.

Training

Orientation ; Training is provided ; We offer leadership training for those volunteers who want to help lead our arts programs for youth.
We coach and train you with all other projects and jobs, so that you will feel comfortable joining our team

Transportation

On Bus Route ; all locations are accessible by public transport

Interaction Level

One-on-one ; Small Group ; Large Group ; We have opportunities whereby you can interact with participants of all ages.
For those adults working with youth, we require that you obtain a police check.
