| Duties | * To assist Golden Horseshoe Green Tech's staff with public relations and marketing tasks, as well as some office administration. * 1 or 2 days a week commitment preferred. | |||
| Benefits | Golden Horseshoe Green Tech (G.H.G.T.) is a not-for-profit community organization located in Eva Rothwell Resource Centre, Robert Land Community Association. Golden Horseshoe Green Tech's location has been selected to be based in an economically challenged area of North Hamilton End. At Golden Horseshoe Green Tech, we provide this community with a new not-for-profit enterprise that its mission is promoting self-reliance, education and environment stewardship. It is the goal of Golden Horseshoe Green Tech to provide the youths in Hamilton with new employment opportunities, volunteer opportunities, as well as learning opportunities in the Information Technology field. We intend to meet these goals by offering an e-waste recycling program at the Robert Land Community Association. The collection of e-waste will provide at-risk and disadvantaged youth and young adults the opportunity to learn new skills through all of our programs. In addition to technical skills, our staffs and volunteers also learn proper lifting, skidding and packing techniques. Basic Health and Safety Training along with W.H.I.M.I.S. training is also provided. | |||
