Duties* Assist at the World Vision child sponsorship booth. 
* Answer questions about the child sponsorship program. 
* Sign up new sponsors.
Benefits* See events for FREE (For example, Stars on Ice, Michael W. Smith, Jay Calder, etc.). 
* Gain knowledge about World Vision. 
* Gain skills interacting with the public. 
* Help make a difference in the lives of the world's poorest children.
Clients* Primarily adults, sometimes youth and children. 
* Secular or Christian.
Dates and TimesMonday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Dates and times vary.) 
Tuesday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Dates and times vary.) 
Wednesday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Dates and times vary.) 
Thursday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Dates and times vary.) 
Friday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Dates and times vary.) 
Saturday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Dates and times vary.) 
Sunday: Morning, Afternoon, Evening (Dates and times vary.) 
 
This is a one-time event however we are ALWAYS looking for more volunteers in the Hamilton area as we host special events ranging from concerts, sporting events (Stars on Ice), festivals (Festival of Friends), speaking engagements, etc and you can contact me for more information on how to become more involved long term.

The location for these events will vary. We host events all over the province, but volunteers would only be required to travel within the Hamilton area. (They are welcome to travel to other cities if they choose.)

Commitment LengthSpecial Event ; There are 1 to 6 events in the Hamilton area each year. Volunteers are of course welcome to travel to surrounding cities to attend other events if they are interested.
TrainingOrientation ; Training on the job ; * Volunteers will receive on-site training the day of the event. 
* Orientation and training before events given by our staff either in person or over the phone.
TransportationOn Bus Route ; Volunteers are responsible for their own transportation to and from the event.
Interaction LevelLarge Group ; Volunteers will be working front line with the general public and with World Vision staff.
CostVolunteers may be asked to pay for their own parking, public transportation, and gas costs.
