Duties

Volunteers who work at the ReStore will help with assembling, cleaning, testing and fixing various products. Also help pick up, unload and process donations, stock shelves, rearrange merchandise, assist the cashier and greet and help customers in the store. There’s always plenty to do at the ReStore as every day brings new interesting donations!

VOLUNTEERS MUST HAVE ATTENDED AND COMPLETED THE RESTORE ORIENTATION BEFORE THEY CAN SIGN UP FOR THIS SHIFT. TO REGISTER FOR A RESTORE ORIENTATION PLEASE LOOK UNDER TRAINING AND ORIENTATION GROUP FOR SCHEDULE.

Skills/Experience

Experience with Home improvement highly recommended, though not strictly necessary. Some lifting of up to 60 lbs. can be involved. This is a good position for a person who is friendly and has an outgoing personality.

Potential Volunteers must register through www.habitathamilton.ca and set up their volunteer account, and have completed the mandatory ReStore Volunteer Orientation session before they can volunteer with the ReStore.
