| Duties | * Assist the hairdresser/barber with portering residents to and from the salon/barbershop in the Lodge. * Give aid as requested by the hairdresser/barber in the shop. * Sweeping, cleaning up, towel drying hair, placing residents under the dryer and assisting with removing curlers and combing out hair. | |||
| Benefits | Gain experience with seniors and working within a hair salon/barbershop. Transferable skills developed and enhanced. | |||
| Clients | Seniors living in a long term care facility. | |||
| Dates and Times | Monday: Morning, Afternoon Tuesday: Morning, Afternoon Wednesday: Morning, Afternoon Thursday: Morning, Afternoon Friday: Morning, Afternoon Hours of current operation for the salon/barbershop are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. Volunteer shifts can be flexible. | |||
