Programs that develop, maintain and make available to the public, outdoor recreational areas, often located on school grounds or in community parks, which are equipped with sandboxes, swings, jungle gyms, rings, slides, playing fields, courts and other recreational apparatus for children. |

| Recreation Centres | ||||
Centres, often operated by the local community department of parks and recreation, that offer, at a single location, a variety of recreational facilities such as athletic fields and courts, a gymnasium, a swimming pool and locker facilities. Recreation centres usually offer an organized program of activities for community residents and provide all necessary equipment. |

Programs that develop, maintain and make available to the public, indoor or outdoor facilities that are equipped with an assortment of ramps, rails, half pipes and quarter pipes; structures mimicking the ledges, curbs, and stairs of the street; and other equipment for skateboarders, BMX bikers and/or inline skaters of all levels of ability. |
