OneMatch also conducts searches for matched, unrelated donors for patients; ensures donors are healthy and able to donate; and, coordinates the collection and delivery of stem cells in Canada and around the world. Fewer than 30 per cent of patients who need stem cell transplants are able to find a match within their own families. The rest rely on the generosity of a donor who has volunteered to give stem cells to anyone in need. *HSC reside in the bone marrow and have the unique ability to regenerate all of the different blood cell types. |

It is available for use by all types of groups and organizations, including Christian bodies, schools, businesses, social agencies, etc. Rental information: Main Lodge has capacity of 65 in main meeting room, 95 in dining room, 30 for overnight accommodation. Cabins hold 125 for meetings or overnight accommodation. The capacity is less in winter as three of the cabins are closed. There are two kitchens catered by staff and groups require their own liquor permit. Smoking is permitted outside only and audio visual equipment is available. |

RESIDENTIAL CAMP PROGRAMS: (7-15 years) A small camp atmosphere and a child-centred approach offer campers a safe environment to try new things and grow as individuals * Residential campers sleep in comfortable log cabins with their group of 8 campers, supervised by at least 2 staff in an adjoining room * Each cabin has its own washroom, shower and common area * Eating, living and participating in daily activities together will encourage campers to learn responsibility for themselves and consideration for others as part of a caring community * As in the day camp program, children participate in a wide range of activities. LEADER IN TRAINING PROGRAMS (L.I.T.): (14-15 years) The Leader in Training Programs are based on the foundation of practical experience and becoming a generalist in all areas in the operation of camp * Leaders in Training will take on responsibility for working with campers, learn about group dynamics, communication, conflict resolution, leadership styles, spend time working in the kitchen and maintenance and plan adventures with other Leaders in Training. There is also a Day Camp option for Leaders in Training * Duties run Monday to Friday (8:30am to 6pm), with an overnight * Commitment is for at least 3 weeks plus summer closure. Note: Integration of special needs children may be accommodated and will be reviewed on an individual basis. |

Families are provided with options for care and ongoing support. Child care is provided for fee paying and child care subsidy eligible families. Agencies recruit individual caregivers to provide care in their home for up to five children. The agency provides the administration, training, support, and quality assurance measures to caregivers. Caregiver hours are usually flexible and geared to parent need. Some shift coverage and weekend care may be provided. Caregivers may escort children to and from their school.
