DescriptionThe Maternity Centre of Hamilton provides holistic prenatal care by skilled, experienced family physicians and delivery at St Joseph's Healthcare. The Nurse Practitioners enhance the care women receive through additional teaching sessions and appointments when required. Prenatal care can be shared between the Maternity Centre and the woman's own family physician. Women may also access other professionals on-site including lactation consultant and social workers. 
 
The Maternity Centre is a partnership between McMaster University's Department of Family Medicine, St Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, Hamilton Health Sciences and The City of Hamilton Social and Public Health Services and is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
