| Description | VENTURE SUMMER CAMPS: Venture Engineering and Science, Computer and Technology Camps strives to educate children on all subjects specific to these fields of study. With the help of undergraduate McMaster students, every camper will discover the importance of hands-on experience and practical theory. By introducing young minds to everyday examples of engineering and science, Venture expects to encourage and influence future scholastic endeavours. Venture staff is a proud group of employees, who value their responsibility as role-models and strive to promote the Venture vision. Venture is eager to initiate innovation and promote educational excitement that will expand the minds of youth today. Projects for the summer include: Engineering and Science - Novice Grades 1 & 2 Fantastic Flyers, Electrifying Sounds, Silly Sea Cucumber Dissection Engineering & Science - Juniors Grades 3 & 4 Blue Magnetic "Go Fish", Terrific Trebuchet, Super Squid Dissection Engineering & Science - Junior Grade 3 & 4 Green Geodesic Dome, Circuit Surgery, Magnificent Mouse Dissection Engineering and Science - Intermediates Grades 5 & 6 Forest - Under a Microscope, Gadget Gizmo, Dogfish Shark Dissection Engineering and Science - Seniors Grades 7 & 8 Blast Off Rocket Launch, Formula 1 - Laser Racers, Amazing Frog Dissection Computers and Technology - Juniors Grades 3 & 4 Game Genie, Venture Jeopardy Lego NXT-1.0 Computers and Technology - Intermediate Grades 5 & 6 Venture Film Festival, Sonic Soundboard, Lego NXT-2.0 Computer and Technology - Senior Grades 7 & 8 Website Design 101, V-Tunes, Lego NXT-3.0 Please refer to the website for additional information on each camp program. | |||
