DescriptionThe programs offered at Oddfellow & Rebekah Island (formerly referred to as Garratt's Island), Bloomfield, Ontario (located approximately 30 min south of Belleville and one hour west of Kingston) are residential camps that provide recreational and camping experiences for children living with cancer and their families. It admits children suffering from cancer, those in remission, siblings, bereaved siblings, and parents of children with cancer. There is no cost, as all programs are paid for through financial gifts, donations, foundations, and members of the community. Medical support provided by the Nursing Director and a team of nurses is on duty at all times, including out trips.
