Description
  • Sport Fitness School is a multi-sport program that provides children with the opportunity to choose 3 sport activities from 28 offerings. The program is divided into different age groups and ability levels. 
     
    This day camp uses McMaster's athletic complex, in which the Ivor Wynne Centre and David Braley Centre houses: gymnasium, wrestling room, dance studio, squash courts, outdoor volleyball/basketball courts, outdoor track, hiking trails, outdoor playfields, 50 metre pool, climbing wall, and fitness centre. Local outdoor recreation sites are also utilized. Please bring lunch, sunscreen, wide brim hat, water bottle, SFS t-shirt, and bathing suit. Water bottle and t-shirt will be provided no later than first day. 
     
  • Sport Fitness School Junior Leadership (Ages 15-16 years) 
    Junior Leaders will spend the morning with a counsellor or instructor in a sport of their choice and will re-join as a group for interactive theory sessions in the afternoon. Topics include: coaching styles, leadership, behaviour management, presentation techniques, and teamwork. Available Session 1, 2, 3 & 4. 
     
  • Children with Special Needs 
    Campers with special needs are assigned a one-on-one worker and are provided with as-needed support for optimal integration. Limited spaces available - registrants will be reviewed on an individual basis. 
     
    Busing available from Dundas, Ancaster, Burlington, and Oakville for an additional fee.
  • HoursMon-Fri 8:30 am-4:15 pm * Extended care 7:30 am-8:30 am, 4:15 pm-5:30 pm for an additional fee
