DescriptionThe National Clearinghouse on Family Violence (NCFV) is Canada's resource centre for information on violence within the family. It operates on behalf of the Government of Canada's Family Violence Initiative (FVI) and its 15 partner departments. 
 
The National Clearinghouse on Family Violence (NCFV) collects and disseminates information on family violence prevention, protection and treatment across Canada. NCFV resources include a website with links to a variety of resources including: overview papers, handbooks, videos, research reports and toolkits, as well as a quarterly e-bulletin profiling the work of partners, recent research and other activities.  
 
The resources are available electronically free of charge, in English and French. 
 
By increasing awareness, the NCFV encourages Canadian communities to become involved in reducing the occurence of family violence.
