| Description | Self-help non profit organization created by women for those diagnosed with breast cancer and anyone concerned about breast health * Provides current information and education on early detection, treatments and management of breast cancer * Support meetings held monthly for anyone who is living with breast cancer including young womens and recurrence group * Peer telephone support network available * Newsletter published 4 times a year * Member of The Canadian Breast Cancer Network * Library available with over 400 books, videos and audio tapes * Wigs, turbans and mastectomy bras are available for loan * Alternative healing therapies offered on a regular basis including: Reiki, Reflexology, Tai Chi, Yoga and Meditation. Massage and art therapy also offered when available * Breast Health Workshops are available for individuals, companies and organizations free of charge * Breast cancer support meetings are held at Burlington office location only | |||
