Description & Services
Description	Revenue Canada, Taxation has the following services available to aid the disabled taxpayer in filing their income tax return:    * Community Volunteer Program - Helps taxpayers who cannot complete their own returns due to age, disability, language or other difficulty. Training sessions are provided to community members who in turn volunteer to aid filling out tax returns for community members who cannot do their own return. The program runs from mid February to April 30th.  * Assistance to the Hearing Impaired - Hearing impaired taxpayers have access to a telephone device for the deaf to obtain tax information.  * Assistance for the Visually and Mobility Impaired - A toll-free telephone line has been established to provide tax information for the visually and mobility impaired. An audio recorded version of the General Guide to filing taxes is also available, and other publications in audio, Braille and large-print formats may also be ordered. Visually impaired taxpayers can also request and receive assistance in preparing their tax return.
