| Description | The Learning Centre, located on the 4th floor of Central Library, provides books, cassettes, CDs and other resources for learners and teachers of English as a Second Language. Its specialized resources focus on pronunciation, speaking, listening, writing, reading, developing vocabulary and preparing for exams such as the TOEFL. Materials from the Learning Centre can be borrowed from any branch of the Hamilton Public Library. The Learning Centre offers a Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program to new immigrants who wish to improve their skills in English * Students are matched with volunteer tutors * Tutors and students usually meet twice a week for 2 hours each time LINC Program Information and Application | |||
