Description & Services
DescriptionThe Community Access To Child Health (CATCH) program is a community development program in East Hamilton and Stoney Creek.
CATCH is designed to:

* Involve the community in becoming active decision makers in planning strategies to bring changes in their environment
* Promote healthy child, family and community life through improving community support and caregiving systems
* Provide safer environments for children

A CATCH organizing committee meets on a monthly basis to develop and implement plans within a specified area. Committee membership consists of community people from the projects CATCH is involved in. Membership at this committee changes depending on the area and projects being worked on. Support is provided to CATCH by Wesley Urban Ministries and McMaster University School of Nursing.
