DescriptionThe Hamilton Wentworth Stroke Recovery Association is dedicated to helping stroke survivors and their families understand and cope with the devastating effect of a stroke. The Stroke Recovery Association provide hands on support: 
 
* To help stroke survivors return to a full productive life, by means of encouragement, example and friendly contact. 
* To encourage rehabilitation by providing support to stroke survivors, caregivers, and families. 
* To visit with new stroke patients and their families in the hospital or at home, to help them on the road to recovery. 
* To provide information about stroke, its prevention, treatment and warning signs to all persons within the Hamilton Wentworth area.
MeetingsGeneral Meetings: Last Wednesday of each month 7 pm-9 pm, January-June and September-November at the St John Ambulance Building Unit 5 
Board Meetings: Second Tuesday of each month, 12:30 pm-3 pm

EligibilityFor stroke survivors. Meetings involve family members, caregivers, friends and volunteers.
