DescriptionThis program provides transitional housing and support to young mothers up to 21 years of age 
 
* Helps young mothers in life-skills development, infant bonding and nutrition 
* Staff support is available for mothers and their children 
* Short-term, personal strength based program assists with parenting practices and encourages healthy bonding and attachment between mother and baby 
* Young mothers can stay for up to two years 
* 15 self-contained transitional-housing apartments with each apartment fully furnished 
* Occupants responsible to pay rent at subsidized rate as well as hydro, telephone and cable bills 
* Provides on-site programming such as life skills development, pre-employment counselling, and educational programs about healthy infant growth and development as well as infant play and stimulation 
* Average length of stay is between 12 and 24 months
