| Description | Inspiration Place is a vocational rehabilitation program designed to provide maximum flexibility to participants with vocational goals * It is a member driven, recovery-based, vocational rehabilitation program for adults who have had a mental illness to come and rebuild their lives. Based upon Clubhouse philosophy, the program is consumer-driven in that members control all facets of the program. Members of Inspiration Place are intent on finding their own path to recovery. Whether involved in the day-to-day operations of the Club, or simply attending social events, membership is for life so members have all the time they need to secure their new life in the community. Transitional Employment - An employment training program that offers employers trained and fully supported employees. Employees are paid by the employer at a rate of at least minimum wage. Inspiration Staff learn the duties of each position and take responsibility for the training of employees. Support for the employee is offered either on site, or by phone, as needed by the individual. Inspiration Place staff will ensure that the position is always filled with trained employees. An employee fills the position for a period of 6 to 9 months, then the position is filled by a new, trained employee. |
