| Description & Services | ||||
| Description | Discovery House located within the Men's Residence, is operated by professionally trained staff who offer stability and encourage plans for the future, often when no hope exists due to addictions or mental health issues. Through a creative and innovative pre-treatment program, staff provides an environment of compassion, caring and encouragement. This program has been recognized by its provincial peers for its role in assisting people to return to the community. There are also a variety of community resources, such as the medical clinic, access to an OW worker, access to a Public Health Nurse/network, Chiropractic services, Pain Management services and Housing Help assistance are available to clients who access the shelter system. The Jamesville Residential Treatment Program of Discovery House is a long term program (up to 1 yr) designed to assist individuals that have barriers accessing other treatment programs, who are struggling with concurrent disorders, homelessness, and spiritual deprivation and addiction issues. This program is based on a 3 phase spectrum, Intensive Core Programming, Skills Training & Re-Education and Supportive Housing. | |||
