DescriptionMental Health Helpline is a free, confidential and anonymous service offering Ontarians 24 hours per day/7 days per week access to information about mental health services across the province.

Mental Health Helpline allows consumers, their families, service providers and others with an interest in mental health to access comprehensive information about mental health services and supports. Members of the public who call the Mental Health Helpline seeking help for themselves, or for a friend or family member, will be referred to the most appropriate service point within the mental health system. Professional service providers seeking service and/or treatment options for a client will be assisted by information and referral specialists who are able to access a comprehensive database of information and carry out detailed searches for services.

Service is free, confidential, and anonymous, and is provided by telephone, email, or webchat.

Mental Health Helpline is also able to provide statistical data and information about mental health services for research and planning purposes. Mental Health Helpline is operated by ConnexOntario Health Services Information which also operates the Drug and Alcohol Helpline and the Ontario Problem Gambling Helpline (OPGH).
