| Description | The Transitional and Housing Support Program is a program for women (and their children) who are survivors of violence and abuse * Transitional and Housing Support Workers will assist women in accessing supports and services required to establish violence and abuse-free lives in their community * The program endeavors to use a holistic approach in assisting women and children striving to live safe, meaningful lives * All services are free and confidential and include: * One-to-one counselling and support to address issues of violence and abuse against women * Safety Planning * Assisting women in meeting their goals and carrying out transitional plans * Providing support and/or information on educational upgrading, parenting, job training, affordable housing, income support, health and wellness services, legal aid and other services pertaining to women seeking a violence-free life * Services for children and youth who have witnessed and/or experienced violence * Transportation assistance * Access to cultural interpretation Referrals and questions are welcome | |||
