DescriptionChildren's Services: 
* Contact Hamilton provides a central information and referral function for children and youth living in Hamilton with behavioural, emotional and developmental concerns. 
* Contact Hamilton works with youth and families to determine what the service needs are, provides information about services available, and refers children, youth and their families to the most appropriate service  
* Contact Hamilton serves as the single point of access for most ministry funded children's services.  
* In addition the program also: 
* Serves as a valuable information resource to physicians, schools and health/social service professionals 
* Means that youth and families make one call to Contact Hamilton, saving them from having to call a multitude of agencies searching for a service  
* Works with community agencies to coordinate wait lists, ensuring that access to services is fair and based on need 
* Coordinate a Resolution Mechanism (to address highly complex and/or urgent situations) and the Residential Placement Advisory Committee process
