DescriptionAssistance for Children with Severe Disabilities (ACSD) assists parents of children with severe disabilities by providing them with a monthly financial benefit, which is needs tested to help with the ongoing extraordinary costs arising from the child's disability. The benefit is to enable children with severe disabilities to live at home.  
 
Additional benefits that are issued through the ACSD program include: 
* A monthly drug and dental card 
* Eyeglasses  
* Hearing aids and wheelchair repairs</UL>Applications for this benefit, which are made under the parents' names, are vailable at the local MCSS/MCYS office
