DescriptionSNOW is the branch of the Inclusive Design Research Centre at OCAD University that focuses on inclusive education and learning. Our goal is to provide information and training for educators, parents and students with disabilities on technologies for learning both in and out of the classroom as well as promote understanding of inclusive practices. Our resources are free whenever possible and SNOW focuses on providing open source tools that can be adapted and used freely.

SNOW offers a wide range of resources and learning opportunities:

Throughout the SNOW site, we have provided information links that describe how resources on SNOW meet the Integrated Accessibility Regulation under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) so that others can learn to build accessible resources.

Read the SNOW features to learn about new technologies, assistive technologies, current research and creative ways that educators are using technology in the classroom to promote inclusion and provide accessible learning experiences for students.

Participate in our workshops, moderated or not, to learn more about inclusive technology and teaching practices. Most of the workshops are free and self-paced.

Follow SNOW on Facebook and Twitter to hear about the latest news and developments in educational technology and inclusive learning.

SNOW offers innovative approaches on how to incorporate technology into teaching practices, what to consider when planning and teaching for the diversity of learning needs in the classroom and how to work within the public school system to acquire the individualized services needed for all students.

SNOW fuses technology, community, accessible communication and capacity building together to foster a collaborative approach that encourages a comprehensive model of education for all.
