| Description | All children and their families entering the program will complete a child development assessment for the purpose of early identification of needs. The program will run for nine weeks on a weekly basis for 3 hrs per week. There will be 4 separate programs per year. Children will be engaged in the Healthy Play and Engagement component where they will be provided with opportunities to participate in fun activities to enhance all areas of development. At the same time the parents will be part of the Parenting Skills Program. The parents will participate in three sessions to promote Parent-Child Bonding relationships where they will learn strategies, techniques to engage their children towards healthy development. This will be provided as workshops and/or interactive activities as part of the Healthy Play and Engagement components. | |||
