DescriptioneCounselling is a method of counselling that research has shown to be highly effective * The program works like traditional counselling except the counsellor and client exchange emails instead of meeting for a face-to-face appointment * Many people prefer eCounselling because it is more convenient and offers greater anonymity. 
 
Qualified CFS counsellors have been trained in eCounselling and can address most of the same issues as face-to-face counselling or telephone counselling including stress, change, interpersonal conflict, parenting and caregiving, grief and loss, and balancing work and family. 
 
Because participants will be exchanging emails, what is shared in their counselling can be worded thoughtfully and at their own pace, without having to think off the top of their head or having to type quickly * When the participant is ready, they send their email and the e-counsellor responds in two business days. The emails you send and receive are stored on a secure email service so that they can be revisited. 
 
eCounselling sessions are conducted over the internet similar to email * All online sessions are private and secure through www.cfshw.privacemail.com

FeesService - Fee of $60 per session (one hour of the counsellor’s time.) This is equivalent to one email session. ; PLEASE NOTE: If you have EAP and Catholic Family Services is your provider there is no cost for eCounselling.
