DescriptionWomankind Addiction Service is the amalgamation of Hamilton Women's Detox Centre and Mary Ellis House * The service provides non-medical residential withdrawal management, 24-hour telephone crisis support, early treatment groups, a taking steps group, day and residential treatment and aftercare for all women with substance use issues 
 
Womankind offers a safe, caring atmosphere in which women can withdraw from substances, plan treatment steps, attend educational, writing and 12-step community groups, attend treatment and aftercare and receive assistance with referrals to community services and facilities * Referrals are accepted from women directly * Questions welcome from medical sources, community agencies and family
