DescriptionThe Physical Activity Centre of Excellence at McMaster University is home to three service programs: the MacSenior Exercise and Wellness Program, the McMaster Cardiac Rehabilitation Program, and the MacWheeler Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Program. All three programs are supervised by trained staff and facilitated by undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Kinesiology. 
 
* McMaster Senior Exercise and Wellness Program - This structured exercise program is designed for individuals 60 to 80 years of age. The twice-weekly sessions include a variety of endurance and strength-training activities designed to meet the needs and fitness levels of each individual. 
 
* McMaster Cardiac Rehabilitation Program - This structured and individualized program is designed to meet the exercise rehabilitation needs of cardiac patients. The twice-weekly sessions include a variety of endurance and strength-training activities designed to meet the needs and fitness levels of each individual patient. 
 
* MacWheeler Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation Program - This twice-weekly exercise rehabilitation program is for adults with a spinal cord injury. MacWheeler participants are prescribed an exercise program incorporating both strength and endurance activities based on individual needs and capabilities.
