Description & Services
DescriptionThe Taxi Scrip program provides subsidized rides for people with a disability by means of regular or accessible taxis. 
 
* Clients must apply to, and be registered with Accessible Transportation Services (ATS) 
* Application detailing disability information to be completed by attending physician 
* Photo identification is issued at the time of client interview 
* Users pay $24.00 for each coupon book 
* Coupon books have a face value of $40.00  
* Maximum purchase of three books per month allowed 
* Coupons are used to pay taxi meter fares 
* Clients arrange all rides individually with the taxi company of their choice 
 
Registered clients may purchase Taxi Scrip Mon-Fri at: 
 
* ATS Office 2200 Upper James St, Mount Hope, 8:30am-4:30pm 
* HSR Customer Service, 36 Hunter St E (GO Station) 8:00am-4:00pm 
 
Municipal Service Centres: 
 
* Hamilton City Hall, 71 Main St W, 1st Flr 8:30am-4:30pm 
* 300 Wilson St E, Ancaster 8:30am-4:30pm 
* 60 Main St, Dundas 8:30am-4:30pm

Registered clients may also purchase Taxi Scrip coupons by mail. Make your cheque or money order payable to: City of Hamilton, write your registration number on the front, and mail to:
