DescriptionThe Royal Canadian Sea/Army/Air Cadets is a national youth program focused on developing leadership skills, promoting sound citizenship and encouraging physical fitness and healthy lifestyles, all in an atmosphere designed to stimulate interest in the heritage, customs and operational activities of the Canadian Forces. It is not a military recruiting organization and there is no expectation of subsequent military service.

Boys and Girls
FeesNone - Some training is paid for by money raised by the cadet corps ; There are no registration fees or dues to join the Cadet Program. Upon joining, uniforms and accouterments are provided free of charge. Cadets and parents may be required to participate in and contribute to fundraising on behalf of the Local Sponsoring Committee and League, to offset costs not covered by the Department of National Defence.  
Cadets are responsible for covering:  
• haircuts, care of their uniform and boots (cleaning and shoe polish),  
• lunch or snacks during certain activities  
• their share of costs for special social events, such as a movie or dance, organized at the local level.
