DescriptionVolunteer Hamilton is the co-coordinating agency for volunteer activity in the City of Hamilton and builds community leadership through volunteerism * Approximately 300 volunteer placements are available * Works with more than 200 local agencies to refer people wanting to volunteer * In addition services include: 
 
* Working with students and the unemployed to find volunteering opportunities to meet their career goals 
* Volunteer 101 presentations are available to schools and community groups 
* family and employer group volunteering opportunities 
* a web site listing all current positions available 
* Member organizations can list their volunteer needs with the Centre then these positions are advertised to the general public through the job boards, public service announcements in the local media and web site 
* Provides consultation and training to member organizations on all aspects of volunteer management 
* Workshops and seminars are organized to provide organizations with increased skills 
* A library of resource materials in the field of non-profit organization management is available 
* Meeting facilities are available to rent and include laptop, LCD projector and screen

- Jean Hurst Resource Library - Boardroom for 10
