Description & Services
DescriptionWayside House is a long-term residential addiction treatment program for men with a 20 bed capacity * Services include: 
 
* A home-like setting 
* Program length approximately 10 weeks 
* Three phases of treatment include Orientation (between 3-5 days), Core Program (5-6 weeks) and Recovery (between 3-4 weeks) 
* Program includes one to one and group counselling, relapse prevention, attendance at community based 12 step groups, "house" meetings/duties and structured programs 
* Support groups, assistance with life-skills training, vocational counselling and educational upgrading opportunities are also provided 
* Individual treatment/recovery plans 
* A two year supported aftercare program is available to all graduates and is provided in-house. 
* Referrals and advocacy for alternative therapies/training and public/services/entitlements (i.e. medical, dental, housing, legal services etc.) 
 
Pre-admission interview is required and clients must be appropriately detoxed prior to admission.
