DescriptionThe Ombudsman of Ontario is an officer of the Provincial Legislative Assembly, independent from government and political parties * The Ombudsman investigates complaints about services provided by the Government of Ontario and its organizations * The Ombudsman also conducts systemic investigations on important issues about government services, which can affect large numbers of people. 
 
The Ombudsman does not deal with matters regarding federal or municipal governments (except in the case of closed meetings), courts or judges.
