DescriptionThe BeFriending program provides volunteers who are a special source of joy, support and encouragement*; helps connect people with screened volunteers who have similar interests and who want to share their time * Activities can include anything from shopping, movies or events, or just a chat over coffee * those interested in joining the BeFriending program as a volunteer or as someone looking for a volunteer helper, please contact the program

Student volunteers under age but wanting school credit can be accommodated with supervision in the BeFriending program
ApplicationVolunteers require a Criminal Reference Check * Will be done through the Back-check service with a 48 hour return
FeesNone ; User fees may be charged to sponsoring agencies according to the program * Fees can be waived if necessary
