DescriptionA 37 bed emergency shelter for women and children in crisis due to abuse and homelessness * Inasmuch House is a short-term residence, with 24 hour supervision 
 
* Inasmuch House offers residential programs for women, youth and children 
* There are no restrictions in regard to race, creed, or background 
* Males utilizing services must be 13 years or under 
* Transitional Support Worker Program (TSW Program)is a free service designed to provide support to women and their children who have experienced violence and abuse. TSW's will assist women in identifying and connecting with the kinds of supports and services required to establish violence and abuse-free lives in the community.  
* The Legal Advocate is a free service designed to provide support to women who have experienced violence and abuse. The Legal Advocate will assist victims in identifying, connecting and advocating through various legal services within the community. 
* The LEAF program is a free early intervention program for children age 4-16 who have witnessed the abuse of their mothers. The purpose of this program is to provide women and children with a safe place to discuss the abuse they have been exposed to. Each group will run 10 weeks with each session running 1 1/2 hours. All services are free, confidential and include childcare, transportation assistance, snacks and wheelchair accessibility. 
 
N.B The abused senior woman could stay for up to 6 weeks. Her individual counsellor would help client to find more permanent housing and would assist with other goals raised by client. If the senior is not competent, the referral agent will be required to locate staff to assist with activities of daily living. Intervention with the alleged abuser is not available.

EligibilityWomen only with/without children. No untreated addictions or psychiatric disorders. No history of violent behaviour. No transient women.
