| Description | * Service to Newcomers to the Community - As an agency of the Jewish Immigrant Aid Society (JIAS) Jewish Social Services provides newcomers with up-to-date information about the Jewish and general community. Assistance in the resettlement and integration of newcomers and immigrants from all over the world. * Adult Social Programs - Jewish Social Services offers a wide range of adult social and educational programs.y Program - day program that combines productivity with learning and companionship geared to Seniors from the Former soviet Union and other European cities.Mon-Thurs 9 AM to 12 noon. Activities include a English-As-A-Second Language classes, Literacy, socializing * Helping the Isolated and Sick - Jewish Social Services staff conduct home and hospital visits and help keep clients connected to the community * Fighting Hunger - The Food Bank helps with Kosher food to people who are in need * Dealing with Aged Parents - Jewish Social Services offers a wide range of services to help accommodate aging parents in the most satisfactory arrangement. The program offers referral services, help in finding domestic help, and counselling. * Information and referral: * Information for Holocaust Survivors for Material claims against the German government. | |||
