| Description | * S.T.A.R. (Skills Through Activity and Recreation) provides free, skill development programs and include sport activities as well as non-sport activities * Overall purpose of S.T.A.R. is to allow the children to attain skills in each of the areas that they participate, in hopes that these skills can be integrated to other programs in other organizations * Ultimate goal of S.T.A.R. is to develop an interest in positive activities in hopes of preventing these children from participating in anti-social activities such as theft or vandalism | |||
