Description & Services
DescriptionDARTS is a non-profit charity that provides transportation to those individuals who are registered with the City under Accessible Transportation Services, a delegate of the HSR, and are unable to use regular public transit, due to a disability. 
 
Major Services: 
 
* Para-transportation of disabled persons to work, medical appointments, Day Programs, education, therapy, social recreation and shopping on contract to the HSR. May provide charter service for a group of individuals (disabled) who would like to travel together for a particular activity. 
 
* All applications to register to ride DARTS service must go through Accessible Transportation Services at 905-546-2424, Ext 1830 at 2200 Upper James Street, in Hamilton, Ontario. 
 
* DARTS contracts out some rides to Veterans Taxi/Hamilton Cab to handle their overload. One CANNOT contact Veterans for transportation.  
 
* DARTS tickets must be purchased in books of 10 for $23.50. Each one way ride requires one ticket. Charter Cost: $75.00 per hour within the City of Hamilton. 
 
* Tickets can be purchased at the following locations:

- Dundas Community Services - 2 King St, Dundas 
- Flamborough Community Services - 857 Millgrove Sidge Rd Millgrove Public Library 
- HSR Window at GO Station - 36 Hunter St E,  
- Ancaster Municipal Centre - 300 Wilson St E 
- Dundas Municipal Centre - 60 Main St 
- Flamborough Municipal Centre - 7 Innovation Drive (Clappisons Corners) 
- Glanbrook Municipal Centre - 4280 Binbrook Rd 
- Stoney Creek Municipal Centre - 777 Hwy 8

EligibilityPassengers must be pre-registered, ie. they must fill out an application form which is signed by a doctor in order to qualify for DARTS service. Applications can be found on-line under Accessible Transportation Services or by calling 905-529-1212.
