| Description | Hamilton Conservatory for the Arts attunes the soul to the arts of music, dance, theatre and visual arts. To honour the traditions of those arts while reserving and nurturing individual imagination. To create an environment where artistic instincts are encouraged, where artistic products of quality are displayed and where the arts are a vehicle to stimulate personal growth. Objectives: * Aid students in using personal expression in their work * Provide students with the information necessary to comprehend how artistic expression relates to other forms of communication * Reinforcement of the basic techniques and skills necessary to triumphantly adhere to each individual student's regimented study in the Arts * Provide students with the opportunity to develop critical thinking and visual problem solving skills * Further develop students' basic knowledge and teach them how to apply it to their studies HCA students enjoy access to the Conservatory's 18 soundproofed music practice rooms, a 12-unit Roland keyboard/piano lab, spacious dance studios, art and sculpting studios, a dance & sports boutique, gallery space and a 300-seat recital hall with a 9-foot Steinway grand piano on stage. Programs include: * Future Artist Program * Culture for Kids in the Arts (dance, drama, visual arts and education programs) * Children's day camp programs * Children's Art exploration in education through field trips, in-school arts programs and co-op theatre performances * Teen and Adult - Dance (Ballet, Jazz, Modern Dance, Flamenco), Drama, Visual Arts and Educational out-reach programs Program hours vary.
