| Description | Qualified staff offer various activities including crafts, games, outdoor play and quiet areas for homework. Integration of special needs children for summer camps may be accommodated and is reviewed on individual basis. Preschool Program: Full day early learning and care program available on-site to provide seamless day for children and families. Kindergarten Extended Day Program: Extended day (before and after school program) available for the full day kindergarten program. Summer kindercamp available. This program implements the Emergent Curriculum approach. Both an educational philosophy and process, it is about respect for the individual, and means creating learning opportunities with each child that are based on that child’s own background, interests, feelings and perceptions. It builds confidence, is highly energizing and supports both emotional and intellectual development. This child care program presently participates in Raising the Bar. The presence of a Raising the Bar certificate is a sign that the program is committed to maintaining provincial regulatory standards as well as local community standards.
